Here are a few details that are handy to know......
Jewellery making is a hobby of mine and has been for a while. I like to try new things, and have an issue of not being able to wear anything gold plated. So I found out about gold filled wire and how cheap it is, but still looks and wears like gold.
I found out that it is very hard to find gold filled wire in Australia. Supplies are varied and quite often you can't get what you want - and don't start on the price! So I started sourcing my wire overseas; which is great, except you are forced to buy large quantities. So then I got to thinking that I can't be the only person in Australia having these problems - the result is this web site and store. So I'm offering to you a chance to have a play and try using sterling silver and gold filled wire without the headaches of purchasing huge quantities you may not need; making it a great and affordable hobby.
I only send via Australia Post. To keep things simple, I use padded envelopes, Australia Post prepaid satchels and express post satchels. So when you checkout you can select standard postage or express - the choice is yours. I also have a registered option if you require a signature on delivery.
Once your item is posted, I will not be held responsible for lost parcels. If you would like a way of tracking your order - once posted - please pay the extra for express postage or registered post (which is trackable).
Here is an approximate postage guideline. All post costs will be finalised during your check out process :-
| Weight | Standard Postage | Express Postage | Registered |
|---|---|---|---|
| Less than 250g | $3.00 | $7.70 | $5.80 |
| Under 500g (satchel) | $5.50 | $7.70 | $8.30 |
| Under 3kg (satchel) | $9.60 | $10.90 | $12.40 |
Unfortunately I do not send overseas at this time.
I do not have a minimum order value. You can order as much or as little as you like :-)
Nope, I don't charge these either :-)
You will notice that I only accept payment through PayPal. This does not mean you have to have a PayPal account. On the PayPal site, use the link on the left of the screen if you are not a member (can be a little hard to see). PayPal allows you to pay via credit card or your bank account - the choice is yours.
Once you checkout, you will be taken to the PayPal site. All information requested and processed here is via PayPal and I do not get any of this information. After you have paid for the order, PayPal send me an email to say that you have paid and I can then finish processing your order.
Using PayPal for payment, keeps my costs down and provides a secure payment facility via the Internet. It also means you know that we are legitimate and have been validated by PayPal as well!
The price of wire in Australia is very erratic and varies greatly from one place to another. I don't charge more for the popular wires (which most places seem to do).
As this is a hobby of mine, and the items I sell, I use myself and I have very few overheads. As a result, the prices of some of the items appear a lot cheaper than other places, but rest assured the items I sell are of good quality. I source my supplies from well known jewellery suppliers, so I can be sure that I'm using the best as well!
Making jewellery can be dangerous. Please make sure that you use all due care and appropriate safety precautions - such as wearing eye protection.
Children should be supervised at all times. Do not leave children unsupervised for any reason. It is recommended that children under 3 years of age are not allowed near any jewellery making supplies, tools or packaging as there is a high risk of choking and injury.
All tools should be used in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.
Please use common sense and if you are unsure, ask the appropriate people for direction. Jewellery making can be a lot of fun in a safe environment!
Refunds will be issued in accordance with state laws. However NO refund is availabe on wire cut to size - all sales are final. All postage and return costs are non-refundable (the buyers expense).
